International Encyclopedia of Adolescence

In common with other Reference Reviews reviewers I regularly find myself bemoaning the fact that publishers slap the word “international” on reference books that relate entirely to the US, sometimes even without the token Canadian or visiting British associate professor to add some semblance of reality to the title. I was, therefore, incredulously surprised to receive this encyclopedia and to find that it genuinely is an “international” collection, consisting entirely of 88 chapters, of around 10,000 words each, describing the current state of adolescence in 88 different countries.
