It is only a year or so since I reviewed in these columns another Dictionary of Globalization (Jones, 2006) (RR 2007/09) and librarians will wish to know how they differ. Both are about the same total length; both have over 200 articles; less than half of these are common to both. In the earlier volume, but not the present one, can be found, for instance, 9/11, Drug Trafficking, New World Order, Pop Music, Refugees, and Religion; in the present volume but not the earlier one are Americanization, Clash of Civilizations, Climate Change, Ethnicity, Multiculturalism and Xenophobia.
