Films for educational purposes have been a major resource for all libraries, not just school library media centres. While the content of the films are often exceptional additions to a class or training session, the format of films continues to evolve. Libraries have collected formats that have gone from reel‐to‐reel to beta to VHS then DVD and now Blu‐ray formats. Other problems with education films have included scheduling films for viewing and the equipment to view the films.
