This second edition of freelance journalist Jerome R. Adams's Liberators, Patriots, and Leaders of Latin America, like the first one, which sought to “bring Latin American heroes out of the shadow cast over them outside their own region”, expands the coverage to include political leaders up to the twenty‐first century.
