Concise Oxford‐Paravia Italian Dctionary. English‐Italian/Italian English (2nd edition)

The Italian publisher Paravia has had a long and occasionally eventful history. Founded in Turin in 1802, their early years were marked by the restrictions of Napoleonic legislation and censorship. Later, in 1942, the company's offices were destroyed by a British bombing raid. More cheerfully, they have recently formed a successful partnership with Oxford University Press to produce bilingual dictionaries.

The project with Oxford has produced a second edition of the Concise Oxford‐Paravia Italian Dictionary. The new edition of the Concise contains over 180,000 words and phrases in 1656 pages compared with over 175,000 words in the original 2003...
