This large, weighty and beautifully produced tome is the first catalogue since 1852 of the medieval manuscripts of Merton College, one of the oldest University of Oxford colleges (founded in 1264). The entire volume has quite a sumptuous feel to it, including as it does 50 colour plates of details of the manuscripts plus a colour frontispiece and 107 black‐and‐white plates.
