Cultural Encyclopedia of Vegetarianism

We have commented before at the adroitness of Greenwood Press, now an imprint of ABC‐Clio, in identifying new and often niche subject areas for encyclopedic treatment. There have been numerous reviews of such encyclopedias in these columns over the last five or so years, including several relating to food. Examples include The Business of Food: Encyclopedia of the Food and Drink Industries (Allen and Albala, 2007) (RR 2009/08) and the more specialist, comparable and recent Encyclopedia of Organic, Sustainable and Local Food (Duran, 2010) (RR 2010/382).
