Accounting – in keeping with most other specialisms – has a language all of its own. Since the third edition of this dictionary was published in 2005, various corporate scandals, the financial crisis of 2008 and increasing regulatory compliance requirements have all added new terminology to the world of accounting. This new edition has therefore been revised and expanded to take account of these latest developments. It is aimed at students of accounting and related fields and also business people “who require an authoritative and up‐to‐date guide to the subject”.
