This handsome four‐volume set, printed, appropriately enough, on paper produced with recycled wood fibre, is a revision of the critically acclaimed three‐volume Encyclopedia of Natural Resources (Salem, 1998), which was named an “Outstanding Reference Source” in 1999 by the American Library Association. This latest edition is a major overhaul of the previous work. All entries have been revised, while over 100 new ones have been added, for a total of 575. Similarly, the charts, graphs, and tables have all been updated, with more than 100 new ones included. A complimentary online version comes with the print volumes.
