The National Center for Science and Engineering Statistics (NCSES, formerly the Division of Science Resources Statistics of the National Science Foundation), provides access to a variety of reports and data collections on science and engineering education, labour competitiveness and research and development. According to the website, the change in name reflects a change in mandate and the site now includes data collections related to national competitiveness and STEM education. Overall, the site provides relatively clear navigation, although most of the menu options disappear when users move to secondary pages, inhibiting efficient movement from one source to another.
