Heraldic Badges in England and Wales

Michael Powell Siddons has written this monumental work with authority and meticulous attention to detail. Although he trained and worked as a medical doctor, Michael Siddons' extensive interest in heraldic badges, which was aroused while studying the heraldic content of Welsh poetry, has led him to becoming an expert in the field. His previous works include The Development of Welsh Heraldry (Siddons, 1991‐2006) which was awarded the Paul Adam‐Even Prize of the Académie Internationale d'Héraldique and has received other awards. He was appointed Wales Herald Extraordinary in 1994 and is a member of the Académie Internationale d'Héraldique.
