Concise Oxford Dictionary of Quotations (6th edition)

Following the recent Oxford Dictionary of Quotations by Subject (Ratcliffe, 2010) (RR 2011/104), Oxford University Press has now produced a concise version from their latest (seventh) dictionary of quotations. This was thoroughly reviewed by Stuart James (RR 2010/154) and I commend his comments, as they apply equally well to this selected version in explaining the way quotations have been chosen using the Oxford English Corpus and the way that up‐to‐date quotations have been included.
