The Shakespeare Quartos Archive is a testament to the power of the internet and a collective of visionaries to bring history to our fingertips, or at least our computer screens. If one wanted to view the 32 distinct, pre‐1642 quartos of William Shakespeare's play Hamlet made available online through the archive in person, he/she would have to travel to six different institutions located on both sides of the Atlantic.
