The Wiley International Encyclopedia of Marketing is one of those publications that unembarrassed publishers like to attach specific adjectives to; “ground‐breaking”; “landmark”, “premier business reference sources”. The encyclopedia, or more accurately the boxed set of volumes, certainly has the physical presence to go alongside these descriptions. Hardback (but no dust jacket), with a glossy cover, it is actually shipped as seven volumes (with no containing slipcase which could infuriate shelvers, but appeal to cataloguing!) all well put together. Each volume's title has its own colour, and this colour is repeated as a solid block at the base of the spine....
