The aim of the Animal Behavior Desk Reference is to improve communication and understanding of animal behaviour by clarifying the meaning of terms which, in a “soft” and evolving subject such as animal behaviour, can be a challenge. The author, Professor Edward Barrows, is Director of the Center for the Environment at Georgetown University in Washington DC. According to Professor Barrows this, the third edition of Animal Behavior Desk Reference, has been expanded and contains over 800 new terms and definitions.
