The first edition of The Atlas of Climate Change appeared in 2006, closely followed by a second edition in 2007. The book is part of a series of atlases published by Earthscan, other recent examples including The Atlas of Coasts and Oceans (Hinrichsen, 2011) and The Atlas of Human Migration (King et al., 2010). Earthscan was founded by the International Institute for Environment and Development in 1987.
