Beginning with the King David Hotel bombing in 1946, Peter Chalk's Encyclopedia of Terrorism describes modern terrorism in terms of its incidents and their individual and organizational perpetrators. More than 500 entries span 872 pages, including a Chronology of Major Global Terrorist Events from 1946‐2011, Glossaries of related acronyms, a Categorical List of Entries, and a Bibliography.
