In 2010 Pen and Sword issued a guide to cruise ships (Smith, 2010) (RR 2011/277) and they have now followed it up with a companion volume by the same experienced author, devoted to the less exotic, but more essential, passenger and car ferry services of the British Isles. Services between places in Britain or Ireland (e.g. to the Hebrides or the Isle of Wight) are listed as well as those to the Continent, or between Britain and Ireland.
