The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has been publishing the World Economic Outlook twice per annum since 1980. This flagship publication presents their economists’ analysis of recent global economic progress. IMF economists continually survey the economic developments and policies of member countries, monitor developments in the international financial markets and oversee the global economic system. The Outlook is published to coincide with the biannual meeting of the IMF Executive Directors and includes a summary of their discussions. All the data and conclusions presented in this volume are drawn from information collected by IMF staff.
