A Companion to American Gothic, reviewed here in its electronic version, is like many other companion resources produced by Wiley-Blackwell. This particular title focuses on American gothic literature throughout American history. Each section is a collection of articles that discuss a different aspect of the American gothic, often examining particular time periods, literary theories or authors. The companion mentions all the major authors who have shaped or contributed to American gothic literature. I would highly recommend this book for any library that serves a programme offering an American literature course.
The articles are edited and collected together by Charles...
