The first volume in the States at War series covers the New England states. Volume Two covers New York state and Volume Three deals with Pennsylvania. The volume considered in this review is Volume One and includes Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. Richard F. Miller (2005) serves as editor for the series. An independent scholar, he is the author of Harvard's Civil War, among other works.
