Women of Library History is a Women’s History Month project of the Feminist Task Force of the American Library Association. Established in 2012, the website collects and shares stories of women who have been significant to libraries, services, and systems. As stated in the website: “Past subjects have included librarians, founders, community activists, women’s clubs and even other notable women who have influenced the profession. Subjects may be deceased, retired or currently practicing, so long as their contribution to the field (whether locally or globally) is significant and enduring”.
