Mountain west digital library

Offering convenient access to freely available online collections from many universities, colleges, public libraries, museums, archives and historical societies in the western USA, the Mountain West Digital Library enables searches across nearly a million historical photographs, books, maps, scholarly documents, birth and death records, videos and sound recordings digitized by consortium members. Westward migration and pioneer history, mining and Mormon history are areas of particular strength; the complete list of collections is diverse and colourful, ranging from ancient papyri held at Brigham Young University to podcast interviews with folklore scholars.
