[“The librarian as entrepreneur indexer” is a theme begun in the Spring, 1983 issue of RSR (pp. 83–87). A growing number of librarians are beginning to publish their own indexing tools, thus helping to capture information which would otherwise fall between the cracks. We will occasionally feature the experiences of these “brave souls” in the hope that their efforts will inspire others in the profession. Accordingly, we ask authors to include the human element along with the nuts and bolts aspects of indexing and marketing. — Ed.]
