This paper was the product of a course on “Bibliographic Methods” conducted by Dr. Juan Freudenthal at Simmons College. However, methodology was not the only emphasis of Dr. Freudenthal in LS 408. This paper attempts to bring together the professional literature that has been directed at the college and university librarian in the increasingly popular area of library orientation and instruction.
