Portable radiometer measures LEDs, LCDs and arrays
Keywords International light, Probes, Radiometer
A portable radiometer system and family of detector probes that are capable of measuring the different critical radiometric or photometric properties of individual LEDs, LCDs, and array packages up to 76.2mm wide is available from International Light, Inc. of Newburyport, Massachusetts, USA.
The International Light IL1400A Radiometer (see Plate 6) for measuring LEDs and LCDs is available with three specialized detectors: a pen probe with a 5.5mm aperture for performing total luminous flux measurements, a barrel probe which accepts up to 6mm diameter LEDs and measures peak beam intensity, and an integrating sphere which can measure the total flux or mean spherical candle power of single LEDs, LCDs,and array packages up to 76.2mm wide.
Plate 6 The International LIGHT IL1400A Radiometer
Capable of performing radiometric, photometric, and spectral measurements over a ten decade range in ambient light, the International Light IL1400A Radiometer features automatic zeroing and auto-ranging and runs on four AA batteries. Each detector is preprogrammed for ease of operation and when used with a photopically corrected filter, can conform to CIE requirements.
The International Light IL1400A Radiometer for measuring LEDs and LCDs is priced from $1,132.00 (list),depending on the detector probe selected. Literature and pricing are available on request.
