World's smallest hand-held infrared thermometer can also be used for PC-based data acquisition

The new Pyropen R from Calex Electronics is a high performance, hand-held infrared thermometer which boasts laser sighting, high accuracy and repeatability, amazingly fast response, narrow field of view and adjustable emissivity. Users can examine the current temperature of an object, or call up the maximum, minimum or average temperature, all in degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit (see Plate 6).
The new Pyropen R also comes with Pyrolog data acquisition software and a 2m interface cable, which allows temperatures to be viewed on a PC in the form of a simulated scrolling chart, as well as in analogue and digital formats. The data collected can be transferred to a spreadsheet for further examination and manipulation. The comprehensive instruction booklet which comes with the Pyropen R is written in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.

The Pyropen R is particularly useful for test, inspection and maintenance applications in industries such as food and beverage, automotive research and manufacture, paper and packaging and HVAC.
