This Web site contains an abstract titled "A cone beam computed tomography system for true 3D imaging of specimens" written by David A. Reimann et al.at the Department of Mathematics, Albion College. The original paper was presented at IRRMA '96: 3rd Topical Meeting on Industrial Radiation and Radioisotope Measurements and Applications.
The abstract introduces how an extension of conventional CT methods has been implemented to produce 3D data from 2D radiographic projections. The Feldkamp reconstruction algorithm is used to produce the 3D image. This data can be used to visualise internal structure and compute parameters such as volume, surface area, and surface/volume orientation and has been used to image bone specimens.

LASRC is a unified team of scientists at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL)that focuses on basic and applied research on a wide range of seismic phenomena. The Crustal Imaging and Tomography Focus Area Projects include work on fast 3D modelling and pre-stack depth migration using multi-screen wave propagators,improved Kirchhoff migration for complex structures, the Jemez tomography experiment (JTEX), Kirchhoff imaging of the Jemez volcanic field and the SEG imaging project.
