Teaching Note: Unleashing the plight of Gardens and Beyond: a growth adrift

Shubham Kumar is based at Amity University - Lucknow Campus, Lucknow, India. He has completed his PhD from Amity Business School, Amity University, Lucknow Campus, India. He is currently affiliated with School of Management Sciences, Lucknow, India as an Assistant Professor. He has also qualified the UGC-NET JRF examination in Commerce and Management. Dr Kumar has published several research papers in reputed international peer-reviewed journals and has presented his work at various national and international conferences. His research interests span across marketing, economics, sustainable livelihood and entrepreneurship. Beyond academics, he has a passion for exploring lesser-known places, trekking, poetry writing and music.

Hemverna Dwivedi is based at the Department of MBA, IILM Academy of Higher Learning, Lucknow, India. She is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at IILM, Lucknow. She pursued PGDM from Institute of Management Studies, Ghaziabad. She was associated as an Analyst at Ernst & Young GDS, Gurugram. She has presented several papers at reputed national and international institutes. She has also published papers with Emerald Publishing and Ivey. Her current research interest includes consumer behavior, influencer marketing, luxury marketing, green marketing and handicrafts, etc.

Her métier is case writing, she won an “Honorable Mention” in the year 2023 for one of her cases by Emerald Publishing. She had also been in the judging panel of a global case competition “The Case for Women” organized by Emerald Publishing in the year 2025. Her other interest areas include calligraphy, gardening, listening to music and sketching.
