In July 2024, Deeq Mohamed Africa (co-founder) and Abdishakur Shidane chief operating officer, co-founders of Bixi, were managing Somalia’s first inter-wallet money transfer service, eDir. The platform enables transactions between local mobile money providers such as EVC, e-Dahab and E-besa, offering low-cost transfers across digital wallets and global payment systems to improve financial management both domestically and internationally.
