Hypertext in UNICORN

Utilising BRS/Search software, hypertext search facilities are offered by Sirsi's UNICORN system through the standard OPAC and provide powerful retrieval capabilities even when accessing external databases which do not themselves offer hypertext searching. The fields and sub‐fields available for hypertext retrieval can be defined by the user. The article describes the hypertext functionality offered by the system.
