Produced in collaboration with ASM International, The ASM Handbook(formerly Metals Handbook) is an authoritative source of information on the properties, processing and applications of engineering materials.
The series has grown from a single volume, first published in 1923, to what is now a 20-volume set. The fourth release in the series on CD-ROM the Manufacturing Processes Collection, contains the following volumes:
Volume 7 Powder Metallurgy;
Volume 14 Forming and Forging;
Volume 15 Casting;
Volume 16 Machining;
Volume 17 Non-destructive Evaluation and Quality Control.
The ASM Handbook series on CD-ROM intends to be a comprehensive,reliable reference tool for engineers, students, technicians and researchers who need information about engineered materials.
The database uses DynaText Electronic Book Technology to present a combination of text, tables, illustrations and photographs in a format resembling the page of a book. Multiple options for searching the CD-ROM are provided, including full-text searches and index lookup.
