Commentary

Many of you will be reading these columns in Leeds at the Fifth Corrosion and Metal Finishing Exhibition and we are sure that you will find the exhibition of the greatest value and interest. For many years now London has been the centre of major British exhibitions but, following the success of last year's Corrosion and Metal Finishing Exhibition at Olympia, the decision was made to take the exhibition to the heart of the industrial north. There may well be arguments at the choice of Leeds but consideration shows that it is really an automatic choice. Leeds is the obvious centre of the West Riding, it is easily accessible from Manchester, Liverpool, the Midlands and the North‐East coast and is also easily accessible by air from Scotland and the Continent via Manchester.
