Not all RAF personnel take to the air in sophisticated aircraft armed with up‐to‐date weaponry. Some do it on a ladder or a hoist armed with nothing more than a blast cleaning nozzle. Their enemy is not the air force of some foreign power but a much more persistent foe, corrosion!
