Two new technical brochures published by Durapipe - S&LP are dedicated to the company's Vulcathene Mechanical and Vulcathene Enfusion (electrofusion) chemical waste drainage systems. The brochures provide comprehensive information on system components, applications and installation procedures.
Vulcathene Mechanical is a complete, corrosion resistant plumbing system which embraces laboratory items such as wastes, drip cups and sinks, plus a range of pipe fittings from 38mm up to 102mm, anti-siphon traps, expansion joints and many other useful items.
Under normal laboratory conditions the Vulcathene Mechanical drainage system is more than sufficient for safe containment and drainage. Where a fused joint is preferred to a mechanical one, for example, where pipe is buried or run overhead in ceiling voids, the Vulcathene Enfusion (electrofusion) system is recommended.
Injection moulded in black polypropylene, Vulcathene Enfusion fitting sockets are moulded with an integral resistance wire in place. Jointing is completed by energising the wire via a microprocessor controlled Enfusion Control Unit.
Vulcathene Mechanical and Enfusion systems are totally compatible, offering greater flexibility to the designer or installer of laboratory drainage systems.
