Manufacturers who require specialist coating application for large scale products and components are now thought to be benefiting from the most recent investment by E/M Coatings Ltd. The company, which specialises in the application of high performance products and coatings, operates a Mindon oven measuring some 6 metres in length by 2.7 metres in width and height at its principal factory in the UK in Evesham. The company has already seen customers in the food, textile, paper and packaging equipment industries take advantage,as well as, increasingly, aerospace – the premises at Evesham have now achieved CAA approval.

"The large scale oven at Evesham is reported to be able to achieve a curing temperature of 450°C", comments Barry Woodall, general manager,"with, crucially, excellent control characteristics. This temperature level can be achieved within an hour and can be held to ±5°C depending on the requirements of the process. Typically the oven would follow a three- to four-hour cycle".
