Mixing specialist Chemineer has launched a new range of BTNS Biotech Mixers,designed for sanitary batch processes in the chemical industry.

Unlike most traditional designs that have two steam ports, the BTNS Mixer's single steam port provides rapid, even heating and thorough sterilisation to dramatically reduce cleaning time and downtime. In addition, all wetted parts including oversized shafting, in-tank couplings and impellers, are made from 316 stainless steel, then polished to a 32AA finish for total corrosion-resistance and far cleaner sanitary surfaces.

Equipped to provide precise mixing power for increased process flexibility and energy efficiency, this latest innovative mixer from Chemineer can be supplied with a standard shaft speed of 350rpm or with optional variable speed controls for critical batch-processing applications.

Said to be designed to be one of the most durable units on the market today,the BTNS Biotech Mixer claims to benefit from a series of heavy-duty standard features to deliver a lifetime of reliable operation. These include a single mechanical seal with a proprietary acoustic absorption ring to provide quiet operation, whilst a solid stainless steel mounting flange combined with the closed-base cast iron pedestal offers maximum corrosion and heat-resistance.
