Industrial Copolymers has added a new product to its range of water-borne epoxy products. Incorez 170 is described as an emulsified high molecular-weight epoxy resin in water, for use with amine curing agents in two-component coatings. Incorez 170 is stated to be a low viscosity, white liquid. According to ICL, it will undergo chemical reaction with amine curing agents to yield tough durable coatings and primers for concrete, masonry and metals, including anti-corrosion primers. The company also informs us that, recognising that APEO compounds are becoming a major issue to formulators, its team of technical experts has made Incorez 170 APEO-free.

The main intended application for Incorez 170 is in the formulation of fast-curing primers, either for metals (anti-corrosion primers) or concrete sealers and paints.
