Corus Tubes strengthens pipeline sales team

The Corus Tubes Energy Business Commercial team welcomes Jason Evans as the new sales manager based in Corby. Jason Evans joins the established linepipe and process sector sales management team of Russell Codling, Russell Dearden and Phillip Taylor.

Jason will boost the sales strategy concentrating on the Corus Hartlepool Mill's strengths in high quality thickwalled linepipe. Jason joins from Corus Building Systems and is responsible for sales within Europe Onshore, North Africa and the former Soviet Union.

"I look forward to being able to combine my sales experience and my background in engineering to further develop the Corus Energy Business reputation within global pipeline markets," remarks Jason.

After completing a Masters Degree in Chemical and Process Engineering at Exeter University, Jason started his career with Corus in 1999 at Corus Strip Products, Port Talbot. Then he took the responsibility for the Catnic range of products in the spring of 2000 when he became area sales manager responsible for the North West of England.

Born in South Africa, Jason moved to the UK in 1984 and has remained here even though his family continued to travel around the world.

The Energy Business of Corus Tubes specializes in project managed pipeline supply. The business offers a total pipe line package solution, which can include pipe-in-pipe, technical and design support and full project management. The commercial team will coordinate material procurement, pipe manufacture, bend and spool fabrication, corrosion coating, qualification testing and logistics.
