Bodycote launches new BoMic Micro-Web site

Bodycote Materials Testing Group has launched a new Micro-Web site focusing on their Bodycote Microcalorimetry System "BoMic". The system is based on over 20 years experience of microcalorimetry applications to explosives and materials in military products.

During the last 10 years, Bodycote CMK, Sweden has adapted the technique to a wider field of applications including polymer degradation and storage stability of chemicals.

BoMic is a complete system comprising instrumentation, software and training courses for installation in the customer's laboratory. Separate BoMic test services are also available to customers through Bodycote CMK's laboratory in Karlskoga, Sweden.

As an extremely sensitive monitor of slow chemical reactions, BoMic is the ideal technique for fast screening of ageing properties of materials and substances. The new Micro-Web site provides information on several typical application fields including long-term chemical stability and compatibility, design of accelerated ageing tests, thermal runaway hazards, moisture technology and surveillance testing of explosives.
