The contents of this French contribution to the limited literature on flight testing is summarized below. Volume I deals with fundamental measurements, and is developed as a course of lectures to students at the School for Flight Test Personnel. Each chapter is divided into three parts, dealing respectively with the phenomena which form the object of the tests and the principles of test methods; with test programmes and their execution in practice together with the necessary procedures; and with the use of the results obtained in flight, whether by direct reading or recording, including methods of transcription.
