A £1m. programme to re‐equip and refurbish British Aerospace Dynamics Group Stevenage Division's Environmental Engineering Laboratory has been completed. The laboratory is one of the best and, now, most comprehensively equipped environmental test facilities in the UK. In addition to providing in‐house services for the Dynamics Group as a whole, the laboratory also offers its facilities to other industrial organisations and defence contractors on a commercial basis. A major feature of the laboratory is the unique range of services it provides, from routine climatic and vibration testing through to major design studies involving the mathematical modelling of structural behaviour. This allows the laboratory to work successfully with a wide range of industrial organisations however simple or sophisticated their requirements may be.
