Encoder Technology reports that in recognition of its success in conveying the wide technological advantages of Tamagawa's products to UK industry, the Sussex-based company has been selected to receive Tamagawa's prestigious"Excellent Agency" award (Plate 5). This award is presented to the top six international partners who demonstrate their ability to secure technical sales through first-rate design and applications knowledge.

A product of this policy, we understand, has been Encoder Technology's recent success with Racal Avionics. Although this is the first aerospace order for Tamagawa servo components in the UK, this is a sector in which Tamagawa is certainly no stranger worldwide. The company has long associations with manufacturers such as Keaffort, FSI, SFIM and Fizoptica. Its current collaborative ventures include projects to develop a new gyro inertial system and actuators for aircraft.
