Quadra-Chek digital readouts

The recent MACH display mounted by Quadra-Chek Systems, the developer of metrology software and digital readouts for measuring and inspecting two-and three-dimensional components, was spearheaded by the Quadra-Chek 200 DRO for optical comparators, microscopes and co-ordinate measuring machines, for example, as well as the Tool-Chek DRO for tool presetting applications.

Characterised by a modern, sleek design, the Quadra-Chek 200 can be used in applications where measurements are being taken on up to four axes of a component, and system resolution is down to 0.0001mm.

Importantly, the system incorporates the Measure Magic functionality where users are said to simply probe points and, in conjunction with a footswitch/remote keypad control, the system automatically detects the feature type being measured. This reportedly enables operators to measure multiple features without taking their eyes off the part which speeds throughput,improves accuracy and reduces user fatigue.

Intuitive tools simplify program creation for repetitive tasks, and parallel and serial ports provide integrated data transfer to PCs, networks and printers,for example.

A division of Acu-Rite (GB), Quadra-Chek Systems also displayed the Tool-Chek DRO. This is said to be capable of storing 99 setting gauges and over 300 tools. Other features include programmable tool sequences, measurement of tool angles and radii, maximum Z and X position of radius, and angle vertex point measurement.

In addition, the system embraces functionality that associates tool crib locations with tools, and can map tools to CNC "pot" locations.
