QPL-qualified Micro-D connectors

Axon' Cable Incorporated, a specialist in cable technology, has been officially certified to produce Micro-D 0.50" Pitch Connectors to the following standards: M83513/01, /02, /03, /04, / 06, /07, /08 and /09. This QPL certification will enable Axon' Cable to widen its range of products and work with companies in the defence sector world- wide which require this certification.

The Micro-D connector system is said to meet all requirements for robustness,durability, low contact resistance, dielectric strength, vibration and shocks. Micro-D connectors, which are half the size of the most commonly used connectors(D-sub connectors), are believed to be an ideal choice for severe operating conditions such as those prevailing in aerospace, military, industrial, medical or offshore applications.

The connectors are also designed for operations where weight saving,miniaturisation or signal-transmission integrity are key factors. All of these MIL-qualified products use highly reliable twist-pin technology.
