WITH the establishment of Short Brothers and Harland Ltd, at Belfast, the need arose for complete equipment for the testing of aircraft structures and components, it not being possible to transport large structures to Farnborough to be tested at the R.A.E. The way in which this problem has been solved is shown in the illustrations which follow.
