The first Fibreglass‐reinforced plastic undercarriage for aircraft has been produced by AB Malmo Fly‐gindustri, a unit of Trelleborg Rubber Company, Malmo, Sweden. Designed for use on the Stol MFI‐10, an experimental light plane, the filament‐wound part using Owens‐Corning glass roving has successfully passed severe stress tests.
