MR FRED MULLEY, the Minister of Aviation, announced plans for the merger of the airframe interests of the British Aircraft Corporation and Hawker Siddeley Aviation during a debate on the aircraft industry in the House of Commons on November 21. Statements issued by the two companies indicated their willingness to co‐operate with the Government in examining in detail the proposals made, and the best ways to achieve the objectives set forth by the Government.
