‘Time to Stop’ is a new training film from the Aviation Division of The Dunlop Co. Ltd. dealing with the economics of aircraft braking. It shows how the pilot, through careful and considered use of the braking systems available on an aircraft, can avoid unnecessary heat build‐up in brakes, wheels and tyres. The action to be taken following an emergency like a rejected take‐off is described in detail. By planning landing and taxiing distances and using his brakes properly the pilot can reduce running costs and turn round time, and at the same time contribute to greater safety and operating efficiency.
