Avro International Aerospace, the British Aerospace regional jet company, has welcomed the announcement from Swissair that the airline's subsidiary company, Crossair, is to purchase 12 RJ100s and has taken options to purchase a further 12 aircraft. The order could eventually be worth up to US$600 million. Delivery of the initial 12 RJs will commence in September this year and will be complete by summer 1996.
